We use AI to reach ideas that a budget would otherwise rule out: a historical world with no surviving footage, a dragon over a real landscape, a finished product placed into a scene that was never shot, the extra frame the camera did not catch. It does not replace the crew, the director or the edit.

Two films. Unmerciful is a ten-minute drama about the wreck of the Sea Venture in a three-day hurricane in 1609, made for an author to sit alongside his history of Virginia and Bermuda; this is its trailer. A Dragon’s Oath is our own, a fantasy piece. In both, the shots that would have needed a ship, a storm, a cast or a creature were generated; the writing, direction, edit, sound and grade were ours.
