The best film does not just look good. It moves someone to do something.
Feel.
Nobody acts on a fact alone.
People decide with their feelings and explain it to themselves afterwards. So the work starts with who is watching and what would actually move them. Every choice after that, the casting, the location, the length of a pause, serves that one thing.
Think.
Then give them the reason.
Feeling wins attention. A reason keeps it. By the end someone should know what you do, why it matters and what makes you different, without having sat through an explanation.
Act.
And ask for something.
A film that changes nothing is decoration. We agree the action before anyone writes a word, whether that is apply, donate, call or take the training, and build the whole thing backwards from it. Then we find out whether it worked.
